Fifteen Things About Me

Prompt #6: A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself.

The first part is easy, here’s a recent photo of myself:

The second part, not so much. I thought it would be easy to name some facts, but it turns out to be the opposite. How do I know which ones are really interesting if I’ve been so used to these things being part of my identity and my life?

My Backyard World

Prompt #5: What is your earliest memory?

I’m no longer sure whether the memories I have right now about my really early childhood are originally mine or these memories are invented images based on the different stories my parents and relatives have told me over the years. If I look at my baby photos, I don’t remember ever being in those teeny tiny bodies.

But I do have some vague bits and pieces of early memories that are mostly me wandering our backyard and playing with rocks and plants. By this time, I’m probably already in nursery school, the first year of pre-school in the Philippines and I was around the age of 3 or 4. More likely 4.

Countries I Want to Live In

Prompt #4: Where would you like to live one day?

Lately, I’ve been wanting to travel to more countries, so I’ve become more intent on doing research. But since countries are always at the back of my mind, I’m listing down 3 countries I want to live in someday, maybe not permanently, but even for a few months or years at a time.

In order to decide which moment to talk about–when I was most satisfied with in my life–I had to ponder on what the word “satisfied” meant to me. In the dictionary, it’s synonymous to the words contentment  and fulfilment. With that, I had to think of a moment that I was really pleased with my life; a moment I felt that everything I did and everything I was, was enough; a moment when I had no wants.

The closest I could think of was just last week. Well, it has actually happened multiple times to me already in the past couple of months.

Am I really Virgo?

Prompt #2: What is your zodiac sign and does it fit your personality?

Today I’m gonna talk about my zodiac sign and whether or not it applies to me. I was born on the 1st of September, which assigns me to the zodiac sign Virgo. As I read websites about the supposed characteristics of a Virgo, I understand why many people believe in these because it’s surprisingly quite accurate.
